About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: Current BLS certification required Current NRP certification required Current ACLS certification required Current certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor AWHONN Instructor Trainer NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) Must-Have: Weekend availability required No call requirement No floating between locations Description: Types of patients on the unit include deliveries, circulating c-sections, and antepartum patients. Responsible for attending to newborns during the initial newborn assessment. Nurse to patient ratio per AWHONN standards: 1:1 on Pitocin for induction or augmentation 1:2 for cervical ripening (Cytotec or low dose Pitocin) 1:2-3 for antepartum (depending on acuity) 1:2-3 for triage 1:1 for immediate postpartum (2 hours post-birth for mother and baby) Dress code is navy blue or pink scrubs.
