Job Description Job Title Mixer Shift 3rd Hours 9:45PM-6:15AM - Must be able to work overtime including weekends Location Winston Salem Summary Dewey’s Bakery is an established company since 1930. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Follows the GMP rules of facility and other policies, procedures and SOPs. Identifies necessary ingredients and lot numbers. Follows mix sheets and completely fill out all the necessary information. Examines dough and ensures there are no foreign materials introduced into mix. Understands and utilizes industrial size mixers and other equipment properly. Properly measures and adjusts dough to optimize the machine’s ability. Cleans industrial size mixers and associated utensils; Controls allergens and ensures there is no cross contamination. Reports food safety and quality problems to supervisor or appropriate personnel to ensure product is within quality standards. Completes computerized and paper documentation. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Communicates with co-workers and management in a respectful and effective manner. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Required - High school diploma or GED Required – Read and Write in English (all Production Paperwork and Data Entry is in English) Required – One-year previous experience working in food industry, primarily in a manufacturing setting Preferred – one to two years of experience working with industrial size mixers and other manufacturing equipment. Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operation instructions and procedures. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in oral or written form. Ability to utilize a computer for file search and creation and data entry purposes.
