If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now.We are currently seeking a Data Engineer Advisor to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).Job Description - Azure Data EngineerJob Experience Level: Senior (10+ Years)Work Location Expectations: Charlotte, North Carolina - HybridDay to Day job Duties: • Design, develop, and support Azure Databricks and Actimize applications, ensuring alignment with business, technical, compliance, and surveillance requirements.• Build, enhance, and optimize scalable data integration pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Lake.• Customize and optimize Databricks platform components, workflows, custom rules, and business logic to support fraud detection, prevention, compliance, and surveillance solutions.• Partner with business units, technical teams, Azure Databricks specialists, Actimize specialists, and external vendors to deliver platform enhancements, upgrades, and production support.• Conduct detailed analysis of business requirements, incidents, data flows, and process flows; prepare clear technical documentation for development, implementation, and support activities.• Troubleshoot complex application, data pipeline, database, and production issues across environments; perform root cause analysis and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.• Develop and execute unit and integration test cases to validate code changes, configurations, releases, and production deployments.• Coordinate and perform system upgrades, implementations, go-lives, and post-implementation support in collaboration with end users, vendors, and technical teams.• Act as an escalation point for high-priority production issues in a highly transactional environment, ensuring minimal business impact and timely communication to stakeholders.• Participate in occasional evening or weekend support for deployments, production releases, go-lives, and urgent incident resolution.• Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while balancing priorities in a fast-paced banking, risk, legal, regulatory, and compliance environment.• Contribute to post-implementation reviews, continuous improvement efforts, and production support processes to improve reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Basic Qualifications: • 10+ years of overall IT experience, with strong experience in enterprise application development, system design, integration, data engineering, and production support.• 5+ years of experience implementing, customizing, or supporting enterprise technologies, vendor platforms, compliance systems, surveillance systems, fraud platforms, or similar complex environments.• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Python, SQL, and data pipeline development.• Experience developing ingestion, transformation, and storage workflows using Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and related Azure data services.• Strong understanding of relational database platforms, SQL development, SQL Server, Oracle, PL/SQL, and SQL stored procedures.• Experience with IT development lifecycle activities including requirements analysis, technical design, coding/configuration, testing, release support, implementation, and production support.• Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis, and supporting production incidents in enterprise environments.• Ability to prepare technical documentation, process flows, implementation notes, test cases, incident analysis, and support documentation.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic environment.• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with business users, support teams, technology teams, vendors, and stakeholders.• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.Core Technologies:• Azure Databricks• Azure Data Lake• Python• Power BI• Power Apps• SQL Server• Oracle / PL-SQL• SQL stored procedures• Actimize preferred• Enterprise compliance, surveillance, fraud detection, and risk management systems preferredTravel:This is a hybrid role.
