About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 10H Day Hours per Shift: Variable start time, 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Pre-Operative experience, with pediatric experience preferred License: Current RN license in CA required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only) Must-Have: - Exceptional IV skills - Ability to manage both inpatients and outpatients - Excellent communication skills - Team player approach - Flexible and nimble work style Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Pre-Operative Services. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced and busy environment. Primary responsibilities include preparing patients for various surgical and procedural diagnoses. The patient population includes a wide age range, from 8 weeks to 100 years old. Procedures include Ortho, GYN, Spine, Urology, Vascular, and more. The nurse will assist with preoperative calls and labs, perform EKGs, and provide nebulizer treatments. No vent management is required on this unit. Nurses should be able to optimize patients for surgery and ensure a smooth preoperative process. Exceptional communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role. Nurses will collaborate with various team members to provide high-quality patient care. The role requires a high level of autonomy and strong organizational skills. Candidates must have a passion for patient care and a commitment to fostering a positive surgical experience.
