COMMERCIAL VEHICLE INSPECTION SPECIALIST

The Commercial Vehicle Inspection Specialist (CVIS) position at Cottonwood Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility (CCVEF) works under the direction of a California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officer and under close supervision of the Sergeants assigned to the CCVEF.

Upon successful completion of training, the CVIS performs commercial vehicle, driver, and hazardous materials inspections for compliance with safety regulations and provisions of the California Vehicle Code.
