Position Summary This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, protocols, and relevant regulations, ensuring optimal patient care. Core Functions Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders, using independent judgment and established policy and procedures. Educates patients/families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional conduct, fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources, and quality patient outcomes. Produces high‑quality images, prepares, and presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation, and maintains accurate documentation. Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive or interventional procedures in accordance with established policies, if applicable. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Troubleshoots equipment issues and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors, and adheres to safety policies. Accountable for ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to the radiology practice, maintaining confidentiality of all work information. Assures efficient operation of departmental workflow. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure uninterrupted services. Independently performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols to patients. Key Requirements At the time of offer, the technologist must have at least a temporary CT license. Within 12 months of hire, the technologist must complete all required competencies, pass the ARRT CT board examination, and obtain permanent ARRT CT certification and the Arizona State CT license. Rad Techs interested in growing into CT are encouraged to apply. If selected, the recruiter will provide eligibility criteria for the hire‑on incentive. Minimum Qualifications Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program. National certification required from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R) or ARRT(NM)) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB(NCMT)). State licensure required for AZ, WY, NV, including Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire (not required in Colorado). Advanced certification in Computed Tomography required within 18 months of hire from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT(CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board – NMTCB(CT). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Clinical knowledge typically achieved with two years of experience. Effective communication, human relations, data‑analysis, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
