Due to a CIO transition, there is currently a hiring freeze preventing an immediate permanent backfill. A contract resource is being brought in to maintain continuity. The College anticipates posting the FTE role in the coming weeks and hopes the selected contractor will apply.Scope of the ProjectThe College of Charleston (CofC) seeks an experienced Project Lead/Manager to partner with the PMO and ensure the successful completion of information technology projects. The role involves implementing standardized project management practices, fostering collaboration, and ensuring projects meet quality, schedule, and budget goals.Daily Duties / ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and oversee standardized project management processes and methodologies tailored to CofC needs.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.Prepare project documentation and deliverables for both technical and non-technical audiences.Monitor project performance and report progress via dashboards and executive summaries.Identify risks, resolve blockers, and enforce quality standards across deliverables.Facilitate cross-departmental communications and stakeholder engagement.Mentor and coach team members in Agile practices.Perform other duties as assigned (e.g., special projects, task force participation).Technical Knowledge (Desirable)ServiceNowProject Management tools (e.g., MS Project)Required Skills3+ years working with Business Analysts (Client)3+ years of experience working with KanbansPreferred SkillsProduct Owner experienceExperience with ServiceNowExperience with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, or data management projectsPrior IT role (analyst, programmer, etc.)Required Education / CertificationsProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationBachelor's Degree + 5 years related work experience OR9+ years of related work experience without a degreePreferred Education / CertificationsOther PMI certificationsAgile or Scrum certifications (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP)Pre-Employment ChecksAll standard state-required checks (drug, credit, criminal, motor vehicle).Submission InstructionsAttach the SC Cover Sheet (provided).Include a valid Right to Represent (RTR).Submit the candidate's resume with full legal first and last name.Withdrawn candidates may not be replaced.If using a sub-vendor, submit the Sub Vendor Usage Form (only 1 level deep).***Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor.
