About the Role As a Retail Sales Associate at Curaleaf, you will be the face of our brand and a front-line expert for customers, helping them explore our cannabis products and delivering top-tier service with every interaction. You will create a welcoming, informative, inclusive, and engaging experience to help guests find the right products for their needs. This role involves recommending items, handling transactions at the register, and engaging with first-time shoppers to build trust and showcase Curaleaf’s value. What You’ll Do Customer Experience & Teamwork Greet and assist all guests in a warm, professional manner to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Build genuine connections with customers, ask thoughtful questions, and offer personalized product advice. Address concerns professionally and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Encourage loyalty by enrolling guests in rewards programs. Collaborate with the team to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and upbeat store environment. Operations & Store Standards Open and close the store, handle cash, and follow all procedures and regulations. Check IDs, update customer profiles, and process transactions accurately. Keep the store clean, organized, and fully stocked; manage stock from the sales floor to backroom. Support inventory tasks such as restocking and fulfilling online orders. Meet or exceed daily sales goals by upselling and using product knowledge. Highlight deals and complementary items at checkout to boost satisfaction. Stay informed about promotions and product updates for a seamless customer experience. Remain adaptable in a fast-paced retail environment and take on extra duties as needed. What You’ll Bring High school diploma or GED. At least 6 months of experience in a customer-facing or sales role with a focus on service and satisfaction. Minimum 6 months of experience using POS systems and handling cash accurately. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights. Excellent communication and multitasking skills; ability to adapt priorities as needed. Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new tools for daily operations and customer engagement. Strong time management and organizational skills; effective de-escalation and problem-solving abilities. Basic math and computer proficiency to support transactions and reporting. Positive, proactive mindset and a collaborative, team-first attitude. Natural ability to build rapport and lasting customer relationships. Even Better If You Have Background in sales with KPI tracking and target achievement. Familiarity with e-commerce systems and order fulfillment. Experience in a regulated retail setting. Physical Requirements The role requires standing for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Vision requirements include clear vision at 20 inches or less. The position may involve allergens such as dust, pollen, and plant matter. A high stress tolerance and the ability to work in a dynamic environment are important.
