Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment starting on July 13, 2026, in Marion, Illinois. This position requires candidates to bring their licensed RN credentials on the first day. The nurse will work on a 36-bed medical/surgical/orthopedic unit, providing direct patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team during day shifts. The role involves managing a patient ratio of 1:5 with a CNA or 1:4 in primary care scenarios.

Job Details:

• Location: Marion, Illinois
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications: Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (no pending licenses or temp licenses), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (to be attached upon submittal)
• Experience: 2 years of medical/surgical experience, with charting experience on Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Epic required
• Education: Associate Degree or Certificate (Bachelors Degree preferred)
• Additional Qualifications: Confidence, independence, resilience, ability to manage change, and social skills are essential.
• Unit Information: 36-bed unit, patient ratios of 1:5 with a CNA, possibly 1:4 during staffing shortages or CNA calls in.
• Schedule & Staffing: Every other weekend and holidays as needed; no call/back requirements; floating may be required to Emergency Department or Intensive Care Units for medical holds.
• Other Notes: Candidate must be a hard worker, resilient, and able to adapt quickly. Scrub color is navy blue. COVID-19 vaccination is not required but subject to change. No guaranteed hours during orientation week; the traveler is guaranteed set hours weekly, excluding holidays when the unit may be closed. The position requires the candidate to submit their license and certifications upon application.
