Radiation Therapist Position

Radiation Therapist position available for the Brachytherapy department. Shifts are Monday through Friday, 10 hours per day from 06:15 to 16:45. Rotating days off are part of the schedule. Responsibilities include procedures, HDR treatments, and radiopharmaceutical administrations. There is an opportunity to cross-train in proton therapy, external beam, and simulation. No weekends or holidays are required. No previous brachytherapy experience is required for applicants. Candidates will need to pass the NRC Clienttion safety exam within the first two weeks of employment, with materials provided to study. The daily caseload consists of 8 to 15 patients. First-time applicants are welcome. All candidates must possess certifications in BLS, ARRT, and ARRT (T). There are no weekend or on-call requirements. Travelers are not expected to float to sister facilities. Block scheduling accommodations are not available. Candidates living within a certain radius are not eligible for this position. Requests for time off are limited to a maximum of 7 days. The individual will work in brachytherapy, running HDR units, assisting in brachytherapy implants, and administering radiopharmaceuticals as directed. Sensitivity training is highly preferred for this role.
