Senior Tax Accountant

Company Overview A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant for their New York office. The role involves handling a variety of firm-wide tax-related activities, focusing on domestic and international regulations. Job Responsibilities Prepare/review federal, state, local, and international tax filings and supporting workpapers Coordinate and monitor U.S. and foreign tax obligations with internal stakeholders and external advisors Assist with quarterly tax estimates, extensions, and maintenance of the compliance calendar Analyze tax-related general ledger accounts, payments, and accruals; investigate variances and resolve discrepancies Maintain partner tax records and elections; ensure consistency of tax data across systems Work with the Partner Accounting team on tax matters, including estimated taxes for current and departed partners Manage state Pass-Through Entity Tax (PTET) elections, calculations, payments, and related reporting Manage tax notices and inquiries, including coordination with external advisors; support internal and external audits Research federal, state, and international tax issues and prepare technical memoranda Support and enhance tax-related systems and processes, including identifying automation opportunities Collaborate cross-functionally within Finance and other departments to improve data flow and reporting efficiency Lead or contribute to special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed Qualifications 5+ years of tax accounting experience in public accounting Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting CPA or EA is preferred Partnership experience is preferred Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools Compensation $125,000 – $150,000 Base + Bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr
