Senior Web Engineer

Senior Web Engineer Hybrid 4 Days a week on-site in either Santa Monica, CA or New York, NY Our client is seeking a Senior Web Engineer to build subscription, identity, and monetization experiences that power Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and other streaming products. The role focuses on scalable web applications that drive growth, engagement, and revenue across the streaming ecosystem, including sign-up, purchase, subscription management, and customer messaging flows. The engineer will collaborate across Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver high-quality, performant solutions across a broad device landscape. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. For our W2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: $76.00 to $86.00/hr. W2 Responsibilities: Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications. Build and enhance sign-up, purchase, and subscription management experiences. Integrate with backend APIs and collaborate closely with service teams. Lead code quality initiatives through testing, code reviews, and best practices. Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making. Support applications through the software lifecycle, including enhancements, maintenance, and documentation. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership. Review code and pull requests for alignment with product and design requirements. Support commerce-focused user experiences including upsell, cross-sell, upgrades, payment completion, entitlement activation, and customer messaging. Experience Requirements: 5+ years building modern, scalable web applications. Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript. Strong web engineering background with solid software fundamentals. Experience integrating APIs and partnering with backend teams. Effective collaboration in cross-functional environments with strong communication skills. Preferred: Production React experience, Node.js, mobile (iOS/Android), web accessibility, mentoring, and code reviews. Strong advantage: Roku development experience and familiarity with Roku-specific technologies. Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
