How you’ll make an impact in this role

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical
objectives and quality patient care in assigned areas.

• Supervise and Develop Staff: Lead nursing and support teams by directing daily activities, providing input on hiring, and facilitating ongoing training and performance evaluations.

• Coordinate Patient Assignments: Assess daily care needs to develop and distribute strategic staff assignments that meet productivity standards and patient requirements.

• Manage Shift Operations: Exercise independent judgment to plan services, set priorities based on patient/physician dynamics, and justify any operational variances to leadership.

• Resolve Care Issues: Act as the primary point of contact for patient care complaints, managing resolutions through established organizational channels.

• Optimize Resource Allocation: Ensure the continuous availability of essential materials, supplies, and clinical resources to maintain seamless unit operations.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date reqired.

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
