Position Summary The Director of Nursing provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all nursing services while ensuring outstanding clinical quality, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and resident satisfaction.

Working alongside executive leadership, physicians, therapy, social services, admissions, infection prevention, and other interdisciplinary departments, you'll help build an exceptional culture focused on quality outcomes and compassionate care.

Primary Responsibilities Clinical Leadership

• Lead all nursing operations throughout the facility
• Promote a culture of clinical excellence and accountability
• Ensure exceptional resident-centered care
• Drive evidence-based nursing practices
• Foster collaboration across interdisciplinary teams
• Mentor future nursing leaders

Quality & Regulatory Excellence

• Lead Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI)
• Maintain continuous survey readiness
• Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and federal regulations
• Monitor Quality Measures (QM) and Quality Indicators (QI)
• Develop corrective action plans when needed
• Partner with executive leadership on continuous quality improvement initiatives

Staff Leadership & Development

• Recruit, mentor, coach, and retain nursing professionals
• Develop succession plans for future nursing leaders
• Conduct performance evaluations
• Promote continuing education and clinical competency
• Build a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork and accountability

Operational Leadership

• Oversee staffing plans and scheduling
• Optimize departmental workflow and efficiency
• Partner with Human Resources on hiring and retention
• Manage nursing resources responsibly
• Support strategic organizational initiatives

Resident Experience

• Promote exceptional resident and family satisfaction
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
• Ensure timely and compliant documentation
• Support safe, compassionate, individualized resident care

Qualifications Required

• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum three (3) years of nursing leadership experience
• Experience in one or more of the following:
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
  • Long-Term Care
  • Rehabilitation
  • Senior Living
  • Hospital Leadership
• Current CPR Certification
• Strong knowledge of:
  • CMS Regulations
  • State Survey Process
  • QAPI
  • Infection Prevention
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Clinical Operations

Compensation & Benefits Salary: $120,000 $130,000 DOE
