Full Charge Bookkeeper / Admin - for a Construction Subcontractor

Busy Construction Subcontractor has full-time position available for someone with Full Charge Construction & Administrative experience. We are looking for a strong self-starter with a positive attitude that thinks outside the box & can work with minimum supervision.

Qualifications Required:

·         Quick Books Enterprise Desktop & Quick Books Online experience with knowledge in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & an understanding of Job Costing & project reports.

·         An Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent knowledge & experience is necessary.

·         At least 3 years’ experience in Construction.

·         Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.

·         Familiar with online billing programs such as Paymode-X, Supply-Pro, Assignar & Builder Portals.

·         Ability to multitask, work independently & grow as a team player.

·         Dependable & comfortable working in a construction office setting.

Duties Include:

·         Data Entry in Accounts Payable. Understanding of Purchase Orders / Change Orders / Waivers & Pre-Liens. Ability to properly set up new Vendors & Subcontractors in Quick Books.

·         Entering Accounts Receivable Invoices daily as jobs are completed quickly.  Entering A/R completed work into online applications & upload A/R Invoices when necessary. Ability to enter new Customers, Subdivisions & Jobs (Property addresses) as they are scheduled.

·         Process all customer payment deposits. Pull Invoices to go with checks & enter Payments & Deposits into Quick Books. Scan & upload into Quick Books transactions.

·         Understanding of Customer Contracts, scope of work to be done & pricing.

·         Research & Collections of all Account Receivables on a weekly basis (with notes on progress).

·         Office Administration / Office supplies purchasing / Other tasks as needed.

·         Assistance with Employee Insurance plans for Health, Dental, Vision & Aflac.

·         Reporting to outside Controller / Accountant & Owner.

Full-Time on site / long term position - M-F 6:00 am – 3:00 pm or 7:00am to 4:00pm.

Non-Smoking Office.

Benefits: PTO pay, Holiday pay, Health, Dental & Vision Insurance – after 90-day probation period.

Salary: $65k - $75k depending on experience & qualifications.
