Job Responsibilities
  • Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and devise customized therapy approaches to help them achieve their personal goals
  • Implement Therapeutic Practices: Apply evidence-based interventions to improve patients' motor abilities, cognitive function, and daily living skills
  • Collaborate with Diverse Teams: Work alongside OTs, PTs, SLPs, medical professionals, and nurses to deliver comprehensive, holistic care
  • Teach Patients and Caregivers: Guide patients and their families in therapy methods that promote sustained recovery at home
  • Document Progress: Monitor and record clinical outcomes, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to keep patients on track towards their objectives
Education Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Encouragement for continued learning and post-graduate certifications
Certifications Required
  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
  • Certification from NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) is mandatory
