Job Responsibilities
- Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and devise customized therapy approaches to help them achieve their personal goals
- Implement Therapeutic Practices: Apply evidence-based interventions to improve patients' motor abilities, cognitive function, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with Diverse Teams: Work alongside OTs, PTs, SLPs, medical professionals, and nurses to deliver comprehensive, holistic care
- Teach Patients and Caregivers: Guide patients and their families in therapy methods that promote sustained recovery at home
- Document Progress: Monitor and record clinical outcomes, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to keep patients on track towards their objectives
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Encouragement for continued learning and post-graduate certifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- Certification from NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) is mandatory
- A genuine passion for helping people achieve their maximum independence
- Excellent, empathetic communication skills for interaction with patients and colleagues
