Join us!Position Summary:This role is responsible for leading the software development of infrastructure automation routines which support building infrastructure that private cloud services are delivered on. Key responsibilities of the role include defining the programming architecture and languages, setting strategy for how code is delivered, and implementing routines to ensure that code that is delivered adheres to a common standard. Solutions should be entirely API based and form part of the wider Infrastructure as Code approach. The candidate will need to analyze existing capabilities and develop a strategy for how to integrate and expand them in a sustainable way. Experience of the infrastructure side is useful but not essential, the key accountability of the role is to ensure the integrity of the software that runs the automations. The candidate will need to work closely with the infrastructure engineering team who define the infrastructure design. Key Responsibilities:Ownership of the software code base for infrastructure automation routinesDefinition of coding strategy and ownership of code review routinesDevelopment of world class APIs to enable interaction with other systemsDay to day work allocation and tracking for a team of half a dozen developersEnsure adherence of the team to a robust release cycle processSupport/mentor/coach for the team on design and best practices for high code performance – e.g. pairing, code reviews.Interaction with infrastructure engineering team to understand desired outcomes, and ensure that the software that is developed delivers themDeliver work using an Agile methodology and use Jira for work assignments and trackingDevelopment of automated regression testing to streamline release cyclesRequired QualificationsExperience leading a coding teamProficiency in Python scriptingProficiency in orchestrating workflows using AnsibleFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and CI/CD pipelines supporting automated builds, validation, and deployments.Strong focus on testing and reliability, including automated integration/validation testing and troubleshooting of complex workflows.Desired Qualifications:Experience of the VMWare StackUse of Teraform for infrastructure buildsFamiliarity with Powershell scriptingExperience working on Infrastructure as Code deploymentsShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40Pay Transparency detailsUS - NJ - Jersey City - 101 Hudson St - 101 Hudson (NJ2101)Pay and benefits informationPay range$122,000.00 - $200,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.Discretionary incentive eligibleThis role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
