Senior Accountant - Global Consumer Goods and Retail

Position Overview

Our client, a $200M global consumer goods and retail organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Brooklyn, NY. Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process
• Prepare financial statements
• Manage intercompany accounting and financial reporting across US and international entities
• Own general ledger accounting, including journal entries and accruals
• Perform monthly balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Support operational accounting
• Oversee vendor and expense payment processing, including review of AP invoices and third-party payments
• Provide tax support, including tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
• Provide audit support to external auditors and partner on tax and audit deliverables
• Contribute to process improvements and workflow automation
• Respond to ad hoc financial requests and build processes to support them

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, xhyhwjd Finance, or related field
• 3 to 7 years of relevant work experience
• Background in general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of financial statements
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• NetSuite or similar ERP experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• CPA

Preferred:

• Big 4 or large public accounting experience
• Accounting experience in the consumer, retail, or hospitality space
