Accounting Manager

Job Details

What You'll Do
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and month-end close
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Review and analyze project financial performance, job costs, budgets, and WIP schedules
Ensure accurate revenue recognition and construction accounting practices
Lead account reconciliations and maintain strong internal controls
Partner with project managers and operational leaders on forecasting and financial performance
Assist with cash flow management and financial planning
Coordinate audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements
Mentor and develop accounting staff while helping improve processes and efficiencies

What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
Construction, real estate development, engineering, or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with job costing, WIP schedules, percentage-of-completion accounting, and project financial analysis
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with ERP/accounting systems commonly used in construction environments
Strong communication and leadership skills
CPA or CPA-track candidates encouraged to apply
