Description
Tucker's Restaurant is currently looking for Servers . Servers provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. Each server's primary objective is to show our guests such an enjoyable time; they will want to return again and again. Servers report to the Restuarant Manager.

Server Job Duties:

• Welcome and greet guests as quickly as possible once they have been seated.
• Make all of our guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them.
• Ask the guests if they would like anything to drink.
• Inform your guests of the Specials of the day.
• Ask if they would like to begin with an appetizer. If they order an appetizer to share, make sure the portion is sufficient based upon the number of people at the table. If it is not, suggest ordering two or another to supplement it.
  Answer questions about our food, beverages and if they ask, be able to answer general questions about our banquet facility. Be sure to have the Manager on duty do this if you are unsure about questions being asked.
• Be familiar with the MICRO's system and all of the different screens necessary to complete your order.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in the MICRO's system.
• Deliver beverages from the bar and food from the kitchen in a timely manner.
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
• Maintain clean and tidy service area at all times, keeping clear of dirty dishes, silverware, and glasses. The kitchen is steps away from that area.
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are pleased with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
• Prepare final bill, present check to guest, make them aware of the comment card and encourage them to fill it out, accept payment, process credit card charges or make a change if cash is being tendered.
• Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.
• In the event, there is no bus person, clear and reset the tables when finished.
• Be ready and willing to assist bus person by clearing and resetting tables.
  Thank the guests for their visit and invite them to return.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the manager or immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• Be able to communicate in a pleasant, polite, polished manner with our guests.
• Be neat and dressed in clean ironed clothing.
• Be able to complete basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate the MICRO's system.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Must be TIPS Certified (if not, must obtain within 2 weeks of employment).
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
