Engineering Lead App Modernization (AI-Assisted) Role Summary:
Lead a modernization POD responsible for transforming legacy ASP/.NET applications into a modern architecture using ReactJS frontend and Python FastAPI microservices. The role will leverage the client s Agentic AI development framework to accelerate code analysis, refactoring, and testing while ensuring engineering quality and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead modernization of ASP/.NET applications to ReactJS + Python FastAPI architecture
- Define API-first and microservices modernization approach
- Guide engineers on AI-assisted development using agentic frameworks
- Review and validate AI-generated code, tests, and documentation
- Drive engineering best practices, CI/CD, and automated testing
- Conduct code reviews, architecture decisions, and technical governance
- Coordinate with stakeholders on delivery roadmap and modernization strategy
- Mentor engineers and ensure quality, scalability, and security
Must Have Skills Core Engineering
- Strong experience with ASP.NET / C# application development
- Experience modernizing monolithic applications to microservices
- Hands-on experience with ReactJS
- Experience building REST APIs using Python (FastAPI preferred)
- Strong understanding of API design, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines
AI-Assisted Engineering Experience
- Experience using AI coding assistants (Copilot, Claude Code, AI IDE tools)
- Experience in Prompt Engineering and building Agents, Sub Agents, Workflows using Claude or other AI platforms
- Ability to guide teams using AI for code refactoring, documentation, and testing
- Experience reviewing and validating AI-generated code artifacts
Nice to Have Experience
- Experience with Agentic AI frameworks
- Knowledge of LLM prompting for engineering tasks
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with automated modernization or code migration tools
Experience 10+ years software engineering 3+ years in technical leadership or architecture roles
