Job Description
- Assist patients with exercises and activities designed to improve their daily living and working skills.
- Implement therapy programs as outlined by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Monitor and record patients' progress, reporting any changes or concerns.
- Educate patients and their families on home-based exercises and strategies for independence.
- Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment, including sanitizing equipment.
- Provide emotional support and motivate patients throughout their therapy journey.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver cohesive and effective care.
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
- Valid state license or certification to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others regain independence.
