LANDSCAPE CREW LEADER LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION CREW LEADER Summary With the guidance of the Superintendent and/or Project Manager, oversees the efficient operation and installation of Landscape designs while operating within the budget guidelines. Works in cooperation with Landscape Design Dept, Estimator, Purchaser, Facility Manager, and Nursery Manager, with quality customer satisfaction as top priority. Responsible for installing plant material and landscape material in a professional manner according to EMI standard operating procedures. Manage job sites on a daily basis and provide work direction for Crew Laborers. Responsible for vehicle operation, equipment operation, and adherence to EMI-established safety procedures. Duties and Responsibilities Trains Crew Members on correctly and safely operating all equipment. Coordinate & prioritize daily work schedule with Project Manager. Obtain pertinent paperwork and job files prior to starting any new jobs. Complete all daily paperwork i.e. timesheets, T&M tickets, field reports, accident reports and any other applicable paperwork. Maintain tool inventory and coordinate equipment damage with Project Manager. Maintain all equipment assigned to your crew, which includes greasing, cleaning fluid checks, and monitoring preventative maintenance needs. Conduct all safety tailgate meetings as prescribed by the Safety Manager. Enforce and support all company policies and procedures at all times. Assist Project Manager in identifying up-sells. Oversee daily job site quality control. Communicate on a daily basis with Project Manager. Prepare and plan the next day’s work. Evaluate Crew Members and certify individual training tasks. Manage and delegate responsibility. Complete basic equipment repair when needed. The employee must provide work direction for Crew Laborers. They are responsible for vehicle operation, equipment operation and adherence to EMI established safety procedures.
