Medical Coder

Job Title: Remote Certified Medical Coders - Outpnt & ED Department: Medical Records Location: 100% Remote Shift: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, Candidate must be comfortable working one weekend (Saturday or Sunday). Contract Duration: 11/09/2026 - 01/02/2027, 7+ Weeks with strong possibilities of extension Required: 3 Years of outpatient coding and must have experience as Emergency room coder. (Required candidates with extensive hands on ED experience) Three years’ experience Knowledge of ICD10 Duties: Medical coding in an acute care setting; must possess proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4, Encoder); knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, federal billing guidelines; knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes; ability to research coding related issues; competence in coder training; must have CCS and knowledgeable with 3M/HDS coding application. Outpatient and ED experience.
