Senior Staff Accountant

LHH is working with a large, national company that is searching for a temporary Senior Staff Accountant for their team. You will work with a team that is motivated and takes pride in their work. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong foundation from public accounting. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of accounting experience. This position offers a hybrid work schedule from Bellevue, WA after training. This will be at least a six-month contract with the strong possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute the month-end and year-end close process
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
• Analyze financial statements and investigate variances
• Support audit activities, including preparation of schedules and documentation
• Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of accounting standards
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-6 or more years of accounting experience, including public accounting experience (preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
