CT Technologist Nights

Position Overview The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. They are valued clinical professionals, essential members of a collaborative care team, responsible for performing CT procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities Perform CT scans according to department protocols, capturing diagnostic images with technical proficiency. Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA). Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment, reporting issues promptly. Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient identification for each procedure. Explain procedures clearly, address patient questions, and reduce anxiety using AIDET communication principles. Provide age-appropriate care, ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit. Administer contrast agents when necessary, using sterile techniques and venipuncture skills. Position patients accurately, apply shielding and markers, and review images for diagnostic quality, repeating scans if needed. Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS, manage image transfers, and ensure proper finalization of studies. Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment and crash cart readiness. Organize workflow efficiently, support department operations, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum of 1-year radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS (American Heart Association).
