Assistant General ManagerThe Courtyard by Marriott in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel management and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring memorable guest experiences while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesAssist the General Manager in daily operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction.Provide training, including safety training and standard operation procedures to all department personnel as directed by management.Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process to build a strong team.Lead shift management activities, ensuring all staff are performing their duties effectively during peak hours.Collaborate with the General Manager on budgeting, financial planning, and cost control initiatives.Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership skills.QualificationsProven experience in hotel management.Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly and effectively.Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and shift supervision.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.RequirementsTwo years of college or vocational training in Hospitality or an equivalent program with a minimum of three years experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity.Computer skills - Word processing and spreadsheet functionsFull time, full benefit package to include medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) with match, voluntary benefits.Background screening required, ability to work in United States.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insurancePaid time offEducation:Associate (Preferred)Experience:Management: 3 years (Preferred)
