Requirements What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work!) In this Systems Engineering role, you'll play a crucial role as a key member of the team where you'll have the exhilarating opportunity to make an impact, entrusted with the vital task of defining and securing approval for system components - from requirements and designs to interfaces and test procedures. But that's not all! You'll be creating documentation that bridges the gap between hardware and software developers. Required Skills Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) - Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service‑oriented Architecture (SOA), etc. Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross‑discipline coordination Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerations Desired Skills Circuit Switched and Mobile Telephony signaling types, networks and systems, including audio encoding/decoding (7 years) Specific communications protocols (e.g. GSM, CDMA, 5G, HTS, etc.) and associated community tools Application Development for ipv4 and ipv6 packet switched networks (i.e. L2, L3), protocols (i.e. VOIP) and technologies (VPNs, encapsulation) Digital forensics tools such as Wireshark Deep knowledge of the OSI network stack and associated protocols across layers 2-7. All protocol stacks for data transfer, to include but not limited to Routing protocols, Encapsulation, Tunneling and encryption, legacy protocols (i.e. SONET) Experience with JIRA, Atlassian Suite Qualifications (10) years’ experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline #J-18808-Ljbffr Gigatec
