Public Health Nurse II (Home Health)

Position Promotional Clerk – Experienced Level (Clerk Senior Level). Department: Employment and Human Service Dept., Division: Child Welfare. Work Site: 40 Muir Road, Martinez, CA 94553. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (hours to be discussed). Typical Tasks Child Welfare Clerk: Heavy word processing and distribution of court reports, memos, letters, petitions, and various orders within mandated time frames; preparation of calendars; updating client notebooks; processing case folders; photocopying, faxing, and answering unit phone calls and other duties as assigned. Works with state computer system, CWS/CMS. Strong Microsoft Word skills are recommended and some experience with Excel and CDS is helpful. The selected candidate must be able to deal with sensitive issues involving child abuse and adhere to strict confidentiality laws. Minimum Qualifications Typing speed not less than 40 words per minute from clear manuscript or printed or typewritten copy. Three years of full-time or equivalent responsible clerical experience, with at least six months at the experienced clerical level in Contra Costa County.
