Empire Pump Corporation, a leading water well pump service provider in the Phoenix metro area, is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our fleet of diesel-powered service trucks and pump rigs used for commercial and residential well pump service, keeping our crews running safely and efficiently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components on service trucks and pump rigs used in commercial and residential
• Perform preventive maintenance (oil changes, filter and fluid changes, brake and tire inspections) on a scheduled basis
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on heavy equipment
• Complete welding and fabrication repairs as needed
• Maintain accurate service and repair records for each unit in the fleet
• Respond to field breakdowns and perform on-site repairs when necessary
• Order parts and manage inventory for repairs
• Ensure all equipment meets DOT and safety compliance standards
• Work closely with the Operations and H&S Manager to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime

Requirements & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with heavy equipment, trucks, or drilling/pump rigs
• Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment electrical systems
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain one
• Own set of hand tools
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor field conditions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Diesel/heavy equipment technician certification a plus
• Welding experience a plus
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
