Job Description
Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality cardiopulmonary services and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both inpatients and outpatients. This role involves following established protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies to ensure timely and effective care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Administer medicated aerosols using medical compressed gas.
• Maintain airways and manage ventilators.
• Conduct insertion of arterial lines and intubations as needed.
• Perform pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gas analyses.

Qualifications:

• Must possess certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• Current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), preferably through the American Heart Association.

Experience:

• Years of clinical experience: 1 year.
• Years of travel experience: Varies.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Specify if applicable.
