Nursing Supervisor (Full Time-Days) - Surgery (Neuro, OMFS, ENT, Ophthalmology) Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full Time - 40 hours; Days: Four-10 Hour Shifts with rotating day off; Holiday Leadership call coverage required Surgery Department Highlights Texas Health Dallas has 24 Main OR Suites, 2 Endovascular rooms, 3 Robot rooms, 2 Heart rooms. Fast Paced, High Volume of Open Vascular, Endo Vascular, and Hearts Level I Trauma facility. Strong Minimally Invasive CV program Requirements Associate's degree graduate from an accredited school of nursing required Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred 2 Years experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) required Neurological (Neuro) Operating Room experience strongly preferred Charge Nurse and/or OR supervisory experience strongly preferred RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire Responsibilities Collaborate with Leadership, UBC, and appropriate team members to establish, implement, and monitor department policies/procedures, facilitate unit goals, evaluate and individualize patient care and provide direction to staff to promote quality outcomes. Engage staff to promote evidence-based practices within the unit. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and regulatory requirements for compliance. Provide bedside leadership and clinical expertise to improve quality of patient care. Provide safe direct patient care in coordination with other staff when unit activity dictates. Provide guidance in emergency or complex situations. Use appropriate methodology consistently for communication handoffs.
