Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Medical/Surgical night shift position at a 24-bed unit with a renal emphasis, requiring prior travel experience and Epic EMR familiarity.

Details

• 24-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a renal patient emphasis
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating required to like units within scope, as needed based on facility needs
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Epic EMR used (experience preferred)
• Community hospital experience preferred

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1-2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency in skills including isolation precautions/PPE, IV therapy/phlebotomy, peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, non-invasive airway management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before working as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted
• Brief unit orientation provided upon floating to new units
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
