Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The role involves working on a surgical floor within a healthcare facility that manages orthopedic, bariatric, and general surgical patients. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
• Schedule: Day Shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 2 years of experience in medical surgical settings within a hospital, with preferred experience in orthopedics and bariatrics
• Additional Information:
  • Unit manages patients with orthopedic surgeries (knees, hips, shoulders, cervical), and bariatric procedures
  • Typical patient ratio is 5-6:1
  • Work collaboratively with team members, patient-focused approach is essential
  • Floating to related areas may be required
  • Weekend shifts (4 per 4-week schedule) and on-call status are part of the schedule
  • Unit utilizes equipment such as Hoyer lifts, CPM machines, EMR systems, and code carts
  • Dress code is scrub attire with no specified color
