Senior Manager, Technology

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Technology based in the United States.

As a Senior Manager, Technology, you’ll provide strategic and operational leadership across key technology functions and business areas.
You’ll help shape technology direction, oversee planning and execution, and support continuous improvement across the organization.
The role spans technical strategy, team leadership, operational performance, risk management, and technology transformation.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to resolve complex challenges and advance strategic initiatives.
Your leadership will help ensure technology solutions remain scalable, effective, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs.
This is a highly collaborative role suited to a technical leader who can balance long-term vision with hands-on operational decision-making.
You’ll also foster a culture of innovation, learning, accountability, and continuous improvement across the technology organization.

Accountabilities

• Provide strategic and operational management across assigned technology functions, establishing direction for day-to-day operations and transformation initiatives.

• Lead and develop technology teams, providing guidance, setting priorities, assigning work, and supporting effective performance management.

• Communicate high-level technical challenges, impediments, risks, and technology-related crises to relevant stakeholders, while providing clear updates on progress, timelines, and service-level commitments.

• Establish and oversee daily, quarterly, and annual planning for the technology function, ensuring priorities align with broader organizational and technology strategies.

• Develop functional technology plans covering areas such as infrastructure, architecture, application systems, technical processes, or other relevant technology domains.

• Drive cohesive implementation of technology initiatives while ensuring reliable and effective operation of existing systems and processes.

• Identify opportunities to enhance technology capabilities, improve operational effectiveness, and deliver incremental and transformational change.

• Lead proactive and reactive problem-solving efforts that extend beyond the immediate team and require collaboration across technology and business functions.

• Contribute to the development and adoption of technology best practices across areas such as software engineering, platform development, information security, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and program or project management.

• Identify operational and strategic risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

• Stay current with emerging technologies, methodologies, and industry practices to support cost-effective, modern technology solutions.

• Coordinate training and development initiatives to ensure team members have the skills, knowledge, and information required to succeed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least one additional year of relevant functional experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of management experience, including hiring, training, work allocation, and performance management for direct reports.

• In-depth knowledge and expertise within a primary technology discipline or functional area.

• Demonstrated ability to provide both strong people leadership and forward-looking technical vision.

• Experience managing multiple technology functions is preferred.

• Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into practical technology plans and initiatives.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, consistently meet deadlines, and deliver within established timeframes or service-level expectations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify, assess, and address complex technical and operational challenges.

• Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead organizational or functional change.

• For remote work, demonstrated ability to remain highly engaged and effective in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support communication and team alignment.

Benefits

• Salary range of $94,500–$152,250 , with actual compensation determined by experience, market factors, and other job-related considerations.
