Warehouse SupervisorGeneral Trading Co., Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Supervisor. This position plays a critical role in overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate handling of inventory and shipments. This position is responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating workflow, and maintaining compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures that all incoming and outgoing goods are processed timely and accurately. This role requires strong leadership to motivate staff, resolve operational issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, the Warehouse Supervisor contributes to the seamless functioning of the warehouse, directly impacting customer satisfaction and business success.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics.Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a warehouse environment.Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse safety standards.Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required by warehouse duties.Preferred Qualifications:Associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.Experience with warehouse management software (WMS) and barcode scanning technology.Certification in forklift operation and OSHA safety standards.Strong background in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.Previous experience working in a fast-paced distribution center or fulfillment environment.Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate daily activities of warehouse staff to meet operational goals and deadlines.Oversee the daily operations including but not limited to receiving, storing and shipping product properly, minimizing damages and loss.Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse employees to promote productivity and professional development.Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and other departments to optimize warehouse processes.Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory status, and staffing.Skills:The Warehouse Supervisor utilizes leadership and communication skills daily to effectively manage and motivate their team, ensuring clear understanding of tasks and expectations. Organizational skills are essential for coordinating schedules, tracking inventory, and maintaining accurate records to support operational efficiency. Technical skills, including familiarity with warehouse management systems and safety protocols, enable the supervisor to oversee technology-driven processes and maintain compliance.
