Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Room experience License: Current state RN license required Certifications: BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) PALS (AHA) TNCC Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Room experience - BLS (AHA) certification - ACLS (AHA) certification - PALS (AHA) certification - TNCC certification - Current state RN license at time of submission Description: The registered nurse is responsible for implementing the nursing process within the continuum of care. The nursing process is utilized to assess, diagnose, establish a plan with outcome criteria, intervene, evaluate, and document human responses to actual or potential health problems. This practice includes dependent, interdependent, and independent functions. The position requires a minimum of one year experience working in an Emergency Department with annual visits of 28,000 or higher. Experience in a Trauma Level III department or higher is preferred. Shifts are 12 hours with every other to every third weekend. The nurse will float to Medical Surgical units as needed. The department has a 15-bed Emergency Department with 4 fast track rooms and 1 triage area. The nurse to patient ratio in this unit is 1:3, 1:4. All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility. Scrub color is navy blue. Candidates must note if they have previously worked for the organization, and must have an end date six months prior to their submission date. All clinicians are expected to adhere to the policies and procedures of the workplace.
