About the Position

Job Title: Nursing Manager/Director, Infusion RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Manager/Director, Infusion RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 5 years professional nursing experience, Minimum 2 years as staff RN in immunotherapy/CHEMO, 1 year with supervisory responsibilities required. License: Valid, current, full and unrestricted RN license. AK license required. Certifications: ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred. Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. - High school diploma or GED. Description: Flu vaccine required. Two years of CHEMO/Immunotherapy experience required. Minimum of one year of supervisory or managerial experience required. No request for time off during first 13-week contract. Agency to secure housing and transportation. Candidate will oversee overall financial performance of the assigned departments. Candidate will set annual budgets for departments and practices cost-effective utilization of staff and resources. Candidate will coordinate nursing service orientation of new staff monitoring skills and provide guidance for new skill development. Candidate will make patient care assignments based on individual patient care requirements and qualifications of personnel. Candidate will review the need for staffing standard changes based on patient classification and staff utilization studies. Candidate will revise, implement, and administer nursing services and department-specific policies and procedures. Candidate will collaborate with other healthcare providers to arrange and conduct patient care conferences. Candidate will facilitate and participate in quality improvement activities to monitor compliance with high standards of patient care. Candidate will assist in the training and career development of staff for new responsibilities and authority as needed. Candidate will hold individuals accountable for completing education, training, and competency validation by due dates. Candidate will update job descriptions and performance standards as required. Candidate will evaluate staff performance based on job descriptions and written performance standards. Candidate will communicate administrative concerns and unresolved employee or patient issues to chief nursing executives. Candidate will oversee the planning, preparation, and approval of staffing schedules according to personnel policies and regulations. Candidate will coordinate nursing service activities with other areas and departments. Candidate will set and approve agendas for department staff meetings. Candidate will set annual departmental goals. Candidate will oversee supply and equipment ordering for the department. Candidate will identify departmental needs for personnel, equipment, supplies, and training. Candidate will initiate discussions regarding area or departmental issues. Candidate will implement regulatory standards in assigned departments and ensure compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. Candidate will promote standards of excellence. Candidate will step into patient care roles as required. Candidate will address performance, behavioral, or quality of care issues upon identification. Candidate will provide positive feedback for staff who meet or exceed performance standards. Candidate will make recommendations for additional recognition of outstanding performance as appropriate. Candidate will perform duties independently, exercising professional judgment in determining the correct course of action. Candidate will remain calm and make sound judgments in emergency and high-stress situations. Candidate will promote teamwork and cooperation among staff.
