This contract opportunity offers an engaging role for a Special Education Teacher working with SLS students in grades 3–5. With a schedule that runs full-time from 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, you'll play a key part in helping young learners reach their potential in a supportive setting.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credentials required
• Experience working with SLS (Supported Learning Support) or similar populations preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes, development, and implementation
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
• Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom atmosphere
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction for 3rd–5th grade students on an SLS caseload
• Develop, implement, and monitor student IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
• Adapt curriculum and lessons to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles
• Maintain accurate records and track student progress toward IEP goals
• Partner with families to support student growth and foster school-home communication
• Foster a positive, respectful environment that encourages both academic and social development
