A well-established organization in West Des Moines is seeking an experienced tax professional to lead its corporate and indirect tax functions across a complex, multi-state operation. This role combines hands-on tax expertise with team leadership and offers significant exposure across the business.

What You’ll Do

• Lead sales and use, excise, and multi-state corporate income tax compliance
• Support ASC 740 provisions, deferred taxes, accruals, and quarterly tax payments
• Manage state and local tax audits, notices, and regulatory matters
• Lead and develop indirect tax team members
• Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations to leadership
• Partner across the business on tax planning, system changes, and process improvements

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive tax experience
• Strong sales and use tax, with multi-state income tax experience
• Working knowledge of ASC 740 and income tax guidelines
• Experience managing tax audits
• Previous team leadership experience is preferred
• Strong software skills
• CPA, public accounting experience is preferred
