Job Title

Travel Rapid Response RN – Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Evans, Georgia

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 48 hours per week | 6-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a freestanding emergency department (FSED) setting with acuity-based patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6
• Perform IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, and NG tube insertion; assist providers with procedures common to the ED setting
• Set up and adjust respiratory equipment including BiPAP and ventilator equipment, with phone support available from the main hospital
• Run point-of-care (POC) laboratory tests and operate cardiac and vital sign monitoring equipment
• Document patient care using Meditech electronic documentation system following AIDET, narration of care, and SBAR protocols for department, admission, transfer, and handoff communications
• Work every other weekend as required; possibility of floating to the main ED

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• Required certifications (must be included at time of submission): TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Experience caring for trauma patients and managing commonly presenting ED chief complaints
• Positive, flexible, team-oriented, and patient-centered approach to care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a freestanding emergency department or satellite ED environment
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Comfort operating BiPAP and ventilator equipment independently
