Position Details:


- Patient Load: 10-20 patients per shift
- Department Capacity: 12 beds available
- Support Services: Anesthesia and Radiology support
- Shift Availability:
- September 5, 7-8 (night shifts)
- September 13 (day/night - possibility of a 24-hour shift)
- September 20, 23-25 (day shifts)

Special Note: For candidates with a clean record and proper licensure, we can expedite the process of obtaining emergency privileges.

About Marshfield Medical Center-River Region:


Our esteemed facility serves both Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids, offering a combined department experience where providers are credentialed at both locations. Key details include:

- Shift Schedule: Stevens Point operates 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am)
- New Hospital: Wisconsin Rapids is scheduled to open on October 4, 2023, providing exciting opportunities.
- Shift Preferences: 24-hour shifts starting at 7am are preferred, with 12-hour shifts also available.
- Combined ED/UC: Our unique setup allows for a diverse experience.
- Coverage: Single coverage is provided.
- Preferred Qualification: ABEM certification is preferred.
- Floating Opportunities: Interested providers may have the chance to float to other locations such as Eau Claire, Minocqua, and Park Falls. Please indicate your preferences when submitting your application.

Patient Statistics and Support:


- Stevens Point Volume: The average daily volume ranges from 25-30 patients, with 3-5 being ER cases.
- APC Support: An Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) is available Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm, covering inpatients and UC patients in the ER afterward.

Facility Amenities:


- Inpatient Unit: A twelve-bed unit is staffed during the day by an NP working with a tele-hospitalist. Night coverage is provided by tele-hospitalists. Tele-stroke services are in the pipeline, along with other specialty care options in Marshfield or Weston.
- Diagnostic Services: On-site lab, x-ray, and CT services are available. Point-of-care ultrasound can be utilized by ED providers. Diagnostic ultrasound is available on weekdays, with potential expansion to weekends and evenings (to be determined).
- Nursing Support: Our dedicated nursing team brings extensive experience to ensure seamless patient care.
