Board Certified Behavior Analyst Job Title: BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST Location: Chandler USD 80 STUDENT SERVICES CENTER - Chandler, Arizona Reports To: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION Job Goal: Contributes to the district’s mission and vision to ensure exemplary education that inspires excellence and success within every learner by providing behavioral strategies and techniques to staff. Job Details Job ID: 5718539 Application Deadline: May 31, 2026 11:59 PM (Mountain Standard Time) Posted: May 15, 2026 6:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Employment Type and Compensation Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $92,648 per year Benefits: PTO, holidays, matched retirement through the Arizona State Retirement System, health and life insurance, wellness, professional growth credit Performance Pay: Available annually New Hire Experience Credit: $400 for each full‑time year of verified experience, max $2,800 New Hire Education Credit: $80 per hour of graduate level credits beyond minimum required, up to 96 hours, $500 for first advanced degree Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree in an education related field Current Arizona BCBA certification Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Demonstrated leadership, communication, collaboration, organization, and time‑management skills Ability to adjust based on immediate needs and to work independently Knowledge of state standards, IDEA, 504 procedures, and research‑based instructional practices Documented work experience as a BCBA (preferred) Core Job Functions Oversee hiring, training, and supervising District Behavior Specialists Facilitate NCI trainings for required employee groups Support summer programming Provide on‑site consultation for students identified with behavioral concerns from preschool through 12th grade Assist IEP teams in conducting Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) and/or functional assessments to ascertain behavior functions and recommend interventions Assist IEP teams with development and implementation of Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP) Assist MET/IEP teams with classroom observations and data collection Provide MET/IEP teams with ongoing training and consultation regarding district restraint and seclusion policy, crisis intervention, non‑violent de-escalation, and effective behavior analysis strategies Deliver behavior support consistent with students’ IEPs and State Standards using appropriate strategies, methods, and materials Develop materials and behavioral management strategies to enhance learning effectiveness Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, IEP meetings, and parent conferences as required Consult with parents, staff, and outside agencies as needed Attend required department and site meetings Consult with site administration and school psychologist Monitor students in inclusive and special school settings Suggest ways to integrate behavioral goals into daily classroom activities Observe, document, and analyze behavior Identify appropriate behavior intervention strategies for individual student needs Assess effectiveness of implemented strategies Conduct comprehensive behavior analysis and develop intervention plans Utilize diverse data collection methods and tools Create data summary reports and recommendations with visual aids Assess basic skills across developmental domains and identify related targets for skill acquisition programs Produce individualized materials to support recommended programs and interventions Core Values Excellence in all we do Equity and fairness in all things Integrity is non‑negotiable Efficiency exemplifies stewardship of public trust Professional Qualities Promote positive interactions with colleagues and students, parents, and community members Be responsible, reliable, and punctual Be flexible and adaptable to change Accept direction positively Direct constructive criticism toward improvement Exercise positive problem‑solving behavior and conflict resolution skills Adhere to the appropriate dress code, rules, and procedures Share sensitive student and staff information on a need‑to‑know basis Be a positive role model for students Work with a diverse cross‑section of people professionally and without judgment Physical Requirements Activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, and sitting Requires finger or manual dexterity, repetitive motion, speaking, hearing, seeing (with correction), and focus Potential exposure to travel, odors, dust, poor ventilation, workspace restrictions, and loud noises May require lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently Reasonable accommodations may be available for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions Physical demands represent key responsibilities for successful performance Notice of Nondiscrimination Chandler Unified School District is an equal opportunity employer.
