Certified Substitute Teacher – Kansas City Area (KCMO) | Weekly Pay + Flexible Scheduling

We’re looking for Certified Substitute Teachers to support charter and private schools throughout the Kansas City Area (KCMO). This is a great opportunity for a dependable and dedicated Substitute Teacher who values flexible scheduling, steady work opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in local classrooms. Qualifications

• Valid Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate, Teaching License, or appropriate state certification
• Ability to successfully complete required background screenings
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Previous Substitute Teaching experience preferred, but not required
• A genuine interest in supporting students, teachers, and schools

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher
• Maintain a safe, positive, and productive classroom environment
• Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies
• Keep students engaged and on task with assigned learning activities
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback when appropriate
• Adapt to different grade levels, subjects, and school environments
• Follow all school and district procedures and expectations
• Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and flexibility in every assignment
