Electronics Technician

Summary: ConMet - Canton, NC location is looking for an experienced Electronics Technician to perform calibration, troubleshooting, monitoring, analysis, maintenance and repair of a variety of electric and electronic control equipment to achieve better system effectiveness and efficiency. What You Will Do Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair breakdowns or malfunctions of electrical equipment Perform root cause problem identification and implement self-initiated activities to improve process reliability and cycle times Interpret electrical schematics Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic components, including solid sensors (photo eyes, prox. switches), variable frequency drives, PLCs, motors and motor controllers, servo motion controllers Program and troubleshoot Fanuc robots; perform minor touchups on robotic programs Call equipment and/or parts vendors for support in troubleshooting problems and/or optimizing equipment What You Need to Be Successful High school diploma plus 2 years college and/or trade school Minimum 4 years of related job experience, with emphasis on equipment maintenance and repair Work requires a working knowledge of control system normally acquired through six (6) years of experience in the installation, inspection, testing and repair of pneumatic, electrical and electronic control systems, or an equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education About ConMet ConMet, a division of Amsted Industries, is a leading global supplier of wheel hubs, structural castings, and structural plastics to original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket channels in the commercial vehicle industry.
