# Job Opportunity – Perioperative RN (Preop / Day Surgery) – Tennessee**Start Date:** August 3, 2026 **Location:** Chattanooga, Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Three 12-hour shifts per week (or four 10-hour shifts may be considered). Shift start times typically 5:30 AM; one closing shift per week (7:00 AM until last patient departure, with additional compensation after 7:00 PM). No weekends or holidays.**Highlights:** - Work exclusively in Preop Holding and Day Surgery – no floating to other units- 472-bed acute care facility with experienced, collaborative nursing team- Documentation via Meditech EMR system- Unit supported by dedicated unit secretary and surgical technicians- Advanced procedural exposure including nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters- Excellent work-life balance with weekends and holidays off**Requirements:** - Current RN license in Tennessee (or compact state licensure)- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required- Demonstrated proficiency in IV starts and moderate sedation- Experience preparing surgical patients for procedures and providing Phase 2 recovery care- Competency with cardiac monitors, ultrasound, and EKG equipment**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This is an ideal position for perioperative nurses seeking a supportive team environment with strong work-life balance.
