Traffic Engineer/Transportation Planner

Overview Traffic Engineer/Transportation Planner — Our Dewberry Pennsylvania offices are seeking a Traffic Engineer/Transportation Planner. We are open to candidates residing in Pittsburgh, Mechanicsburg, or Philadelphia offices. In this position, you\'ll work on a wide variety of projects, supervise staff in document production, monitor budgets and schedules, market new projects and clients, and prepare proposals. Responsibilities Develop traffic plans and designs with a focus on quality Lead and mentor younger staff Quality control oversight for all aspects of traffic engineering tasks Maintain team building and project communication with both internal and external clients Required Skills & Required Experience BSCE PA Professional Engineer license 10+ years of experience in traffic engineering or transportation planning Desire to help grow regional traffic engineering services Excellent communication and organizational skills Experience with other State DOTs and clients a plus Working knowledge of Transportation Planning principles and practices as applicable to Corridor, Subarea and Local Circulation Studies, Feasibility Studies, and complete streets concepts. Working knowledge of contract plans preparation for all traffic control devices (signals, signing, striping and pavement markings, among others)
