Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized tools and methodologies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs, preferences, and established therapeutic goals.
\n
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) during sessions.

• Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, coping strategies, and self-care practices.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans in accordance with emerging needs or changes in condition.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to care that meets all aspects of client wellness.

• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in mood disorder research and therapeutic techniques.

• Ensure meticulous record-keeping in compliance with legal and ethical standards to protect client confidentiality and data integrity.

• Participate in interdisciplinary case consultations and team meetings to enhance treatment planning and shared learning experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work closely with clients experiencing mood disorders, including those facing challenges such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clients may also include vulnerable groups, such as refugees, homeless individuals, and survivors of domestic violence, who require specialized approaches and understanding regarding their unique circumstances.

• An active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
