Water Jet Machine Operator Job Overview Summit Appliance, a division of Felix Storch, Inc, is a 56‑year old family business located in the Bronx, NY and Edison, NJ. We specialize in major appliances for smaller kitchens and specialty markets, and we are a manufacturer and distributor of major appliances, including vaccines, healthcare and life science refrigeration. We are adding staff in our Freehold, NJ facility to handle recent growth and the anticipated growth from the largest product expansion in our history. We seek an individual to join our team. Responsibilities Makes routine adjustments to bend programs up to and including tools at time to assure parts are within tolerance. Must check parts against print using proper QC measuring equipment. Load/unload machines and may check basic cross‑reference information to assure correct part is being processed. Assures that basic quality checks are performed at specific intervals on machine parts. Performs routine maintenance on all machines to ensure optimal performance. Ability to prepare and run complex setups and form operations. This includes custom punch modification used in combination with other tooling. Monitor machine operation to detect any issues or malfunctions. Must be able to read prints, set up and run various metal fabrication equipment. Works responsibly and efficiently, adhering to all safety rules and policies. Perform any other duties as required by Supervisor/Fabrication Manager to realization of departmental and company goals. Other Responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Minimum 1 year of proven press brake experience including setup and operation Strong Knowledge of sheet metal materials, fabrication methods, and related sheet metal equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files Must be proficient in measuring instruments and in selecting the proper tooling to produce parts Familiarity with CNC machinery and modern fabrication technologies Able to read, understand, and interpret all dimensions, characteristics, and symbols This role is a long‑term opportunity with a very busy facility Location Freehold, NJ Pay Range Not disclosed #J-18808-Ljbffr FELIX STORCH INC
