Software Engineer

Position ServiceNow Software Engineer – Contract through Magnit – Jackson, Michigan (Hybrid; on-site reporting occasionally). Only Michigan residents considered. Base Pay Range $70.00/hr – $80.00/hr Responsibilities Build, implement and maintain ServiceNow modules. Perform analysis and refine system requirements and designs. Ensure rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of ServiceNow. Build complex ServiceNow workflows and catalog items. Participate in design and code reviews for other members of the development team. Support complex integrations to and from ServiceNow. Identify, develop, deploy, and provide post‑implementation support of infrastructure and/or application technologies to support the company’s business requirements. Apply principles, methods, and procedures for designing, developing, optimizing, and integrating new and/or reusable systems components. Perform prototyping, design, development, testing, debugging, documentation and implementation of software applications in an agile environment. Work with a cross‑functional team to implement and deliver that include agile methodologies. Skills Must have experience creating ServiceNow update sets and workflows, promoting and testing through multiple instances and into production. ServiceNow build and maintenance experience is preferred for the following ServiceNow Modules: IT Service Management – Incident, Change, Problem, Asset, Release and Discovery Modules IT Operations Management – Event Management and Discovery Modules Security Operations – Vulnerability Response Module Intelligent Apps – Automated Testing Framework Module Knowledge Management, Service Portals, CMDB, Service Catalog and Analytics Experience with complex integrations including VeraSmart, SAP, and Clarity. Experience working with APIs (inbound/outbound). Education A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other IT‑related area). Candidate should have 5 years of IT Operations and build experience with ServiceNow enterprise environment.
